Solo circumnavigating schoolboy Michael Perham still plans to sail around the world non-stop, his spokesman said.

Perham, 16, who is en route to Cascais near Lisbon, in Portugal with autopilot problems, hopes to spend no more than just a 'few hours' there while the problem is fixed.

Although references to sailing non-stop have been removed from his website, his spokesman Kizzi Nkwocha confirmed to YM that he would be sailing 'non-stop from Portugal to Portugal.'

Perham is sailing Totallymoney.com a chartered Open 50. He left Falmouth on Tuesday and made good progress across Biscay before his electronics problems set in causing him to crash gybe.
