Ring of bright water


The footprints of an otter have been discovered on one of the Farne Islands off Northumberland.

The tracks have amazed conservationists who found it hard to believe an otter could swim three miles offshore.

Paul Chanin an otter expert from the Mammal Society, said: 'It shows they have remarkable ability as navigators.'
